Why Detox Cleanses Are a Rip-Off
Why pay for what your fecal matter and urine excrement already do for you? It is true that there are a lot of contamination in our environment, the air we breathe, the food we eat and even our drinking water. A lot of these so called toxins have found their way into our bodies or has it? This has given birth to a lot of detox diets being very popular on the market. But is there any evidence that these detoxification diets actually eliminate ingested toxins from your body? Does your body actually need help to cleanse? Is there any scientific evidence backing detoxification?
The internal organs in our body such as the liver and intestines are naturally designed to eliminate toxic substances from the body. But do they need help in doing so?
You may feel that you’re full of toxins and you need to cleanse. How do we know? Constant tiredness with lack of energy, constipation, bloating and poor skin health are some of the signs that people usually associate with high levels of toxicity in the body. The wellness industry tells us they’re terrifying they’re inside of us and we need their high-priced help to get them.
Detox Food Pads: Hoax or Healthy?

For example, detox foot pad programs are meant to draw toxins out of your body whilst you sleep. But are they simply a hoax or pure health genius? The detox foot pad is stuck onto the sole of your foot/feet. Whilst you sleep, the foot pad is supposed to draw toxins from your body. Most of these toxins are heavy metals we have supposedly ingested into our body.
Detox foot pads will supposedly restore balance to your body, stimulate your system, draw out toxin,s improve your blood circulation and you will feel rejuvenated. In the morning, the discoloration of the foot pad is supposed to be the evidence of toxins that have removed from the body.

Steam Room Detox: Any Good?

It is said that steam room detox is supposed to remove toxins from the skin and are known for improving skin health as you sweat them out in the elevated temperatures in the room. Ask scientist and they will tell you that sweat is to turn down a nice fits but ask a scientist and they’ll tell you sweat is 99% water. Sweat is your body’s temperature control and that’s it.
Although there has a lot of health benefits that have been associated with steam room detoxification such as relaxation, improved circulation, reduction of stress and workout recovery, there doesn’t seem to be any scientific backing that steam room detoxification actually work. Is colon cleansing any good for you or is it just another way for the detox industry to get more of your money? Colon cleanse detox has become very popular in recent years.There are many ways of doing colon cleansing such as using herbs, colon irrigation or tea.
Is colon cleansing good for you? Using a colonic irrigation can be dangerous because there is limited scientific research into the subject. Some people believe that this practice flushes out fecal matter that have ‘dried up’ in the intestines but again science data supporting this position is not available.
If you know someone who has done a colon cleanse and they can attest to the benefits and you decide to try, always seek the help of a licensed therapist who belongs to a regulated organization and adheres to the practices and standards of the organization.
Here is the take away though: Consume anything in overdose amounts and it becomes toxic to your body. Although I don’t entirely agree with everything that is said in this video I believe some of the detox fads are pure scams.
Your body is naturally equipped to get rid of toxic materials that get into it. You need to stay healthy, eat healthy, ensure you exercise daily and you should be fine.
